The 20-year-old singer feels that one of her besties is Selena Gomez, whom she met more than 10 years ago when they were costars on the kids’ show “Barney and Friends.”
Like any friendship, the two entertainers have gone through ups and downs and even times spent apart. But regardless of their momentary distance, Lovato assures she has nothing but love for the “Come and Get It” singer.
“We’ve been through a lot together,” she said during her “Live From MTV” special Tuesday. “We’ve had periods of time where we grew apart and we just didn’t really talk. But now we’re in a place where I think we realized that life is so short, and that when you have people in your life that love you so much, then you should just always be around them.”
The “Heart Attack” singer wants to be around as Gomez embarks on the new journey of becoming an older sibling.
“(Selena’s) going to be a big sister, and I want to be around for that,” Lovato said or Gomez’s recent announcement that her mom, Mandy Teefey, is pregnant with her second child.
