• "I am extremely excited to be this year's Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF spokesperson. I want to help encourage other kids to make a difference in the world and show them that Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is such a great, fun way to get involved."
• (about drunk driving) "I just wanted to get educated, "Drunk driving is obviously a serious issue that we all need to be aware of."
• Selena thinks that it's good to stay friends with your ex, as long as the breakup wasn't too bad!
If you have a good breakup and you really talk and say, I really like you as a friend, it will probably be weird at first. But it will be cool to have him as a friend because you've been through a lot together.
• I had a long distance relationship with my ex, Selena tells Twist magazine. He just didn't understand how hectic things were. I would try to call him when I had the time, but if I called him too late, he would get mad at me.
Selena was sad to break up, but it was very complicated and I don't think it could've worked at the time. I was just too busy for a BF!
• (about the acting business) It's not as glamorous as it looks. I don't do it for the glamour. I really do it because I love acting. We deal with things at work and we get in trouble every now and then when we have to focus.
• (misc.) I don't really like dressing up. Some people probably think actresses dress up everywhere they go. I'm in sweatpants half the time with my hair in a ponytail.
• (about her first fan letter) The day I got my first letter from a fan, I felt like I'd been touched by an angel. I opened the note and read every single word the fan, Taylor, had to say. She told me she'd been to all of the tapings Wizards--it was unbelievable! I almost cried. I wrote her back this really long letter with an autograph to show her how sweet I thought she was.
• (about being a Dr.Seuss fan) I remember reading his books like crazy with my grandmother when I was younger, she says.
• (about not meeting Steve Carell) It was kind of a bummer! she says. But at the same time, it was cool. I can see him and say Hey, I played your daughter!
• (about 'horton hears a who') I voiced all of them, says Selena. I had to change up my voice to do higher voices, and then bring it down to do lower voices. All of the Mayor's daughters look different, so I play many different characters. I had never done animation, so I thought it would be cool to try something different, she says.
